Jenni Rivera’s posthumous Hollywood star has been vandalized not once but twice this week.

"La Diva de la Banda" received her posthumous Hollywood star last June, 11 years after her untimely passing, becoming the recipient of the 2,783rd star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her five children, Chiquis, Jacquie, Michael, Jenicka and Johnny, accepted the star on their mother’s behalf.

Yesterday the official Instagram account of the Walk of Fame posted images of the vandalized star, as well as a video of a civilian helping to wipe the star clean after it was obscured and smeared with an unidentified black substance

"This morning fans reported that the @JenniRivera star has been vandalized," their account wrote. "This is unacceptable! Top send Terrazzo star maker Vince on the way to repair. Thanks to the fans who tried to clean the star up and reported. Note, there are cameras everywhere!"

Rivera's daughter, Janney, known as singer Chiquis, also commented on the post, expressing her dismay at the damage. "I cannot with this," she wrote. "Smh. Thank you for my momma’s fans that took the time to help clean it up. Shame on the person/people who did this."

But just this morning, the star was a victim of another incident of vandalism, along with that of Selena Quintanilla’s star. Currently, no further information on the cause of the vandalism is available and a police report has been filed.

Thanks to Rivera’s beloved fans, they are working on cleaning the star once again.
