One of Los Angeles County’s largest Día de los Muertos festivals, El Velorio: A Day of the Dead Musica and Arts Festival, will feature a wide range of visual art and live music at Plaza de la Raza in Lincoln Heights on Saturday, October 26, from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

A Day of the Dead-inspired art show will feature original works from more than 100 artists, including pieces from the Oriol family, OBEY founder Shepard Fairey, muralist Mr. B Baby and painter Danie Cansino. There will also be a custom lowrider and bike show exhibit, and a fashion show produced by Loretta “Vampz” Valdez.

El Velorio is hosted in support of the Pelayo Foundation, which will honor photographers Estevan Oriol and Eriberto Oriol with Legends Awards, as well as emerging photographer Cristian Caridad, recognizing their combined contributions to the community with $20,000 in grants.

Additionally, attendees can enjoy live performances by the Bob Baker Marionette Theater Company, polyrhythmic collective Buyepongo, cumbia band Poco Pocho, Latin pop singer Leyo and cultural dances by Folklor Pasion Mexicana and Aztec Dancers.

Registration is required for both general admission and VIP tickets, available now.
