Dashboard Tool created for the community.

To help keep the public informed, Los Angeles County Public Health has launched an online interactive dashboard with real-time data on environmental and health impacts from the January 2025 wildfires.

The dashboard includes data results and analysis from multiple agencies for a better, more transparent post-fire response. It also offers a visual overview of monitoring locations across Los Angeles County, including areas where assessments are being conducted for air, surface, water and human health impacts.

More monitoring sites are soon to be added and the data will be included as it becomes available. The four primary focus areas that are being monitored are the following:

Air: Evaluation of indoor and outdoor air quality to detect pollutants that may affect respiratory health. Assessment partners for the air monitoring data are the California Institute of Technology (CalTech) and the South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD).

Surface: Testing for contaminants on indoor surfaces, soil, coastal sand and wildfire debris like ash and soot to assess exposure risks. Property soil testing is being monitored by the L.A. County Department of Public Health and Roux Inc.

Water: Sampling of coastal waters, freshwater sources and pools to monitor for wildfire-related contamination. Coastal sand and ocean water are monitored by the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board. Tap water is monitored by CalTech.

Human Health: Voluntary blood lead testing to determine potential exposure, particularly for children and other vulnerable populations. The assessment partner in charge of the blood lead level data is the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.

The data shared through the dashboard will help guide recovery, inform public health recommendations and support long-term response efforts in affected communities.
