The Dodgers have signed a contract with Mexican player Ezequiel Rivera from Culiacán, Sinaloa.
The 14-year-old is being hailed as the next big prospect from Mexico.
Recently, Julio Urías also played for the boys in blue team and was from the Culichi town as well. However, he was placed on administrative leave immediately after he was arrested for a misdemeanor domestic battery charge. Urías is now a free agent.
In a video shared by Univision, viewers can see Rivera calling his mom to tell him the good news, who sounds emotional and tells him how proud she is.
In another video, he is seen arriving in his hometown in Mexico and receiving flowers and hugs from his family, all dressed in Dodger blue.
