As of Wednesday morning, the Palisades Fire has already burned more than 5,000 acres, while the Eaton Fire has destroyed 2,227 and the Hurst Fire has affected 500 acres. 

Through a combination of dry conditions and powerful winds, various parts of  Los Angeles County are considered danger zones and many neighborhoods have been asked to evacuate.

AIR QUALITY

Wildfires can often cause very high air pollution levels that can be harmful to one's health.  

  1. Get air quality alerts, current air quality conditions, and forecasts by downloading the South Coast AQMD mobile ap and signing up for advisories at AirAlerts.org.

Offering horse-hauling emergency assistance for people having to evacuate.

The bookstore will be acting as a supply, drop-off and pickup site for mutual aid organizations. They have a power bank and WiFi available to those in need.

  1. The Sidewalk Project LA

The facility is offering tarps, tents, sandbags, N-95 masks, cots, blankets and shelter as well for people of Skid Row and those affected by fires.

  1. Koreatown YMCA - 433 Vermont Ave. Los Angeles, 90020

The center will be collecting emergency donations (blankets, masks, etc) and will be working with the Red Cross to distribute them to shelters.
