Rosaura Montes is a freelance journalist based in Los Angeles. Growing up in Pico Rivera she found her passion for journalism during her junior year of high school. She obtained her BA in journalism from Long Beach State where she was the copy desk chief editor at the Daily 49er, podcast editor for ENYE (formerly known as DÍG En Español), and has experience producing for television from her time at Beach TV News. She also has experience in radio. Her reporting interests are in her community, the arts, music, film, and more. Pronouns She/Her.

Gilbert High School in Anaheim celebrated a ribbon-cutting ceremony commemorating the “Peace Wall” mural as part of the CITYarts “50 States of Peace” initiative on Thursday, November 14. This is the campaign's second mural and represents California’s inspiration for peace.
